Plan your video content

The three main objectives you need to consider for planning the content of a video are the goal, identify and use. Set a goal before moving ahead; consider everything right from inputs to outputs. Identify your target audience; this will help you create appropriate content. Lastly, use emotions in your content as it is the best way to express your story to the viewers.

Background matters

The background you choose for your video totally depends on the type of the video you are producing. Mainly there are two types of background viz. real background and a fake background. The real background is places like a living room, office or a kitchen. Fake backgrounds are the ones wherein you use a monotone curtain or paper for shooting.

Audio should be clear

A video is incomplete without an audio and hence the audio of your video matters a lot. Using the recorder of the camera or phone you are using won’t help you to record clear and audible sounds. Hence, it is recommended that you use an external device for recording.

Throw some light on your video

Lighting plays an important part in the video but again it totally depends on what object or where you are shooting the video. If it is an indoor shoot, the best light is the natural light. Best hours to shoot a video are one hour before sunset and one hour after sunrise. You can also make use of different other lights to give an effect to your video.

Small segments turn it into a big one

Shoot your video in small segments. This will help you analyse your whole production and if you missed out on something, it will easy for you to reshoot the same. Small segments also come in handy for the post-production process wherein you can edit your video, the way it is supposed to be.

Inform the world

Post your videos on all social media platforms to reach out to a maximum number of people and to receive a genuine feedback.

Video production or videography is not a big thing if you have the passion for it. Work it put until you work it right. Practice and explore the videographer in you. Good luck!
